Angels as Artists

Guest blog :: Art Notes

When I sat down to draw each card, I first connected with the Archeia. What do you want to look like? How will you convey your message? Almost immediately, they brought to me colors, feelings and objects. The result was an interpretation of their art.

Why don’t they have faces?

I used a light blue for their skin; the message I get is that their forms are prismatic and that though I see them in a human’s likeness, they are more like diamonds that emote, attract and reflect thoughts, emotions and experiences. So, blue is my interpretation. No races or ethnicity. More ethereal than the Romanesque angels often depicted.

Some notes from the impressions I received for each set:

Aurora: Wanted wings like a butterfly! She was super excited. She paints the colors of the seasons and uses color to evoke emotion. Works with the Ascended Masters and the whole light spectrum.

Christophina: She wanted orange and citrine tones in her wings, and pointed me in a singular direction. To the point. Says to look to your center. She came to me first, and suggested the Archeiai cards be stylized simple and whimsical. And so I did!

Mareia: As a divine mother, and the divine mother in all of us, she wanted the color green and for me to convey that she is a protector. When she first came through with her character card, she really wanted me to convey an intimacy and closeness. So that’s why I started her out with the close crop.

Seraphina: She is a pink flame that grows within our hearts and bathes us with the light of love. She works with our ancestors on the pink plane.

Marylissa: The lantern was her idea, to “illuminate” beauty. And as her name is the inspiration for amaryllis flowers, she wanted lots around her, and to be bright pink.

Shekinah: In her endless calmness, she places her hand on our shoulders during twilight as stars begin to twinkle, to remind us to breathe in each moment. To remind us that there’s hope in the night, and hope in the new day. I got the sense she lingers quietly and calmly in twilight specifically.

Sophia: Our roots in the Earth to ground us, while we look beyond ourselves to the cosmos. Like her dress, she bridges the planes of existence. She shows us this in “You are free;” when you are know your truth, you are free to work on things on a different plane, and each planet in our solar system is linked to a plane of existence and corresponds to our bodies’ chakra centers.

Mikaela: At the beginning of this set, I was doing some distance reiki healing on my Grandpa and was really tapping into our angels and guides. He has so many loving ascended masters around him, and when I sat down to draw “Hold your faith,” I knew Mikaela wanted me to bring that ethereal vision I had to that card. This is such an expounding process. Each Archeia came forward with messages or encouragement, and often lead me off to learn something new. I got the sense that Mikaela always looks up, and counts faith as the center of us all and of that which all elements flow. She wanted the colors of the sunset: yellow, red, pink, purple.

Amethystia: When she said to release the old to increase the abundance in your life, I saw her happy and twirling with hearts and flower petals flowing all around her. She has a strong connection to our ancestors.

Annunciata: Her warmness came to me and said that hope surrounds us at all times, like a warm yellow light. So her dress is yellow, with “true blue” scarf. She wants us to share our stories, she’s seen them, too—in the Akashic Records.

Magdalena: She brings us new life, washing us of the negative emotions that hold us back. She glows blue and is fluid like water. I felt the wind in my hair, and soothing lapping of water with a gentle, “moving on” feeling from her on “Forgive yourself.” She also made me feel that a little, solitary boat was important, as forgiving is something we do inside ourselves. No need for extras. Magdalena is showing us how to sprinkle the things from yesterday that no longer serve us into the boat to let them go.

What a lesson in intuition!

One of the most important things the Archeiai taught me during this process was to trust my intuition. That thought that just popped into your head? That picture in your mind you just saw out of nowhere? That feeling you just felt? That whisper you thought you heard? YOU DID. The more you trust that the things you know, hear, see or feel are real, the more you will experience them, and the louder they will be. Our ancestors, guides, angels, the ascended masters, nature… God. They are all here, we are all connected.
